Name of Business: Texas Brand Bank

    Location: McKinney & Dallas

Tell us about your business: Texas Brand Bank is a Dallas based community bank with 5 locations and $400 million in assets.  We were founded in 2005 and will have publicly announced a merger with Harmony Bank of Kemp Texas which will double our asset size and number of locations.  My role is that of Team Leader / Commercial Loan Officer.  I focus on providing loans for Commercial Real Estate, Real Estate Investors as well loans to small businesses for equipment and or working capital.  My slogan is “…if you need some Mo Money, call Mo!”.

How have you benefited from being an Ambassador- or comment about your experience - Why are you an Ambassador?: I’ve been an Ambassador for two years and have enjoyed every minute of it.  First, I work with a great team of dedicated volunteers.  Secondly, it’s a good way for me to meet more people in the business community of McKinney and made my transition to McKinney from Chicago much easier.  I also find it very satisfying to help the businesses of McKinney and the part I enjoy the most are the “Ribbon Cuttings”.  It’s great to see and share in the optimism and joy that the small business owner has in opening a new business.

Tell us about your involvement in the community: McKinney Chamber Ambassador, Volunteer at Rock Hill High School (Prosper ISD) with both the Football Team and School Security.  The school security program is called “Guardians of the Hill” when parents patrol the school to supplement the school’s security staff.

What are your hobbies?: Enjoy playing Golf, watching Football and basketball as well as spending time with my family.

Tell us a little about you and your family: I was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and spend most of my adult life in Chicago which is where I met my wife – Dr. Kimberly Middleton-Orlandi.  We have 4 children – 3 girls ages 30, 21 and 15.  We also have a 15-year-old son.  The younger two children live at home with us and attend Rock Hill High School. I attended college and graduate school in New York City.  I received a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University and later my MBA from New York University – Stern School of Business and lived there a few years afterwards before moving to Chicago. My family relocated to Dallas area in 2020 and we currently reside in McKinney.
