Thank you again for giving me the opportunity to serve as your Chair this year. I’ve been a member of the Senior Services Alliance for 3 years now. The reason I keep renewing my membership is because I love being a part of a group that truly believes in service, education, and advocating for seniors.
I love that our February meeting fell on Valentine’s Day. It was a great opportunity to keep the focus on our hearts. Thank you again to Haiman Hogue for providing us with a delicious breakfast to start off our meeting.

Heart Health: Dr. Winston Marshall – from
The Heart Group at Baylor Scott & White – didn’t miss a beat delivering his fantastic presentation on heart health which was both educational and entertaining.

Caring Hearts: The Senior Services Alliance will continue to support Meals on Wheels Collin County in 2020 by collecting donations for their Senior Safety Net Program. Updated goals and fundraising opportunities will be shared at our March meeting.

Touching Hearts: Businesses involved with the Senior Services Alliance are making a positive impact on our community. During our team building session titled, “I Just Called To Say…I Love You”, we each shared why our clients / residents / patients love our businesses. The responses showed just how committed SSA members are to providing high-quality care and high-quality service. Thank you for your continued commitment to excellence.

• Join us on Friday, March 13th from 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM as we welcome Zella Tyson, MPH from
Meals on Wheels.
• Zella will be speaking on food insecurity in Collin County and the Meals on Wheels program including the Senior Safety Net Program.

Real Property Management One Source will be providing us with a delicious breakfast.
One of my favorite quotes that I live by is from John Andrew Holmes who said, “There is no better exercise for strengthening the heart than reaching down and lifting up another.” Thank you for lifting up each other and our community! Have a great February and hope to see you in March
