    Have you heard about InTouch Teller?

    We are excited to expand this service platform to all of our branches after introducing it in 2017! This is a new way to conduct business with us. This state-of-the-art technology looks a lot like an ATM but offers additional functionality, including the ability to have a one-on-one conversation with our staff via touch screen monitor. These interactive teller machines (ITMs) provide the service of a dedicated Personal Banker, allowing our users to make cash and check deposits, withdraw cash, make loan payments, complete an account transfer and much more! Our ITMs make transactions quick, easy and even have extended hours!

    Alright, Enough about Us... Who are We Looking For?
    We want to know more about you! We’re looking for the following:
    • Full -Time Business Lender who has experience with customer-focused/deadline-driven/high-energy environment, and who can provide courteous, friendly and professional assistance to their team, and our membership.
    • Our ideal candidate will make anywhere between $85,500.00 - $90,250.00 for this role.
    • This role is eligible to participate in the ITCU Exempt Employee Incentive Program, which can pay up to 15% of the annual salary, prorated based on the date of hire. (This incentive is based on the credit union achieving established service and financial measurements.)

    What about the Duties & Responsibilities? The Business Lender  will provide the following as part of their key essential duties:
    • Establish and maintain a portfolio of member business loans to members with annual revenues of $20MM or less and loan requests of up to $2.5MM   
    • Identify and solicit new business relationships, and maintain a network of referral sources within local  commercial real estate circles, CPAs, attorneys, and any other affiliated industries.  
    • Actively participate in external community activities in order to ensure ITCU name recognition within the communities we serve. 
    • Provide support to other Credit Union departments in the form of joint calling efforts to assist them in achieving goals. 
    • Conduct in-depth discussions with members to arrive at a loan structure that addresses the needs of the member business and also insulates CU from unnecessary risks. 
    • Prepare credit memorandum for submission to senior leadership and outside underwriters that provides a clear, concise discussion of the financial trends, strengths, weaknesses, and mitigants of the request.    
    • Review financial statements, making recommendations on loans outside of the position’s lending authority.

    Requirements

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

    Education/Certification:

    • College degree related to finance, business, accounting, or equivalent professional experience.
    • Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) registration with Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) required.

    Experience:

    • Three (3) to five (5) years of business lending experience to businesses with annual revenues of less than $20MM,or equivalent experience 
    • Three  years of experience interacting with small business owners, or equivalent experience 
    • Prior small business underwriting and/or business financial  statement analysis experience preferred
    • Prior SBA lending experience preferred. 

    Required Knowledge:

    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
    • Compliance with Federal Bank Secrecy and Money Laundering rules required.

    Other Skills:

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work equally well autonomously and as a member of a team.
    • Strong internal and external sales skills.
    • Ability to establish internal and external referral relationships.
    • Ability to work as a team with other departments.
    • Strong attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks.
