(Sponsorship of $50 for Goody Bags)We will welcome new MISD teachers and administrators, as well as recognize the principals and teachers of the year. Dr. Rick McDaniel, Superintendent, update attendees on things to come in the 2021-2022 school year!
We have had two major changes this year in working with MISD. One is the location- it is at McKinney High School and no longer at Boyd. Second change is that breakfast is during the 7am to 8am timeframe with food stations. There will be tables for them to sit and eat if they wish but they can easily walk around with the food as well. The program is going to be held in the auditorium and no food or drink is allowed. This will also be open seating so no purchasing or sponsoring of specific schools.
The McKinney Chamber, as part of the organization?s safety protocols, has continued to follow local and state guidelines as well as recommendations from the Center for Disease Control and local health authorities. With the CDC?s recent modifications to the guidelines for fully vaccinated individuals, the McKinney Chamber will follow the new guidelines listed below:
- To reduce the risk of becoming infected with the Delta variant and potentially spreading it to others: CDC recommends that fully vaccinated people wear a mask in public indoor settings if they are in an area of substantial or high transmission.
- Because Collin county is considered a high transmission area, masks will be worn at all indoor Chamber events and in the Chamber office.
- Unvaccinated people should also continue to wear a mask to protect themselves and others.
- We will continue to monitor Collin County?s transmission rate and adhere to any local, state, or federal guidelines for the Center for Disease Control for any changes to policy.
