• Hwy. 380 Bypass Information Meeting

As the McKinney continues to grow and build out its infrastructure, there have been many discussions amongst transportation authorities regarding the mobility of Hwy. 380. Talks of expanding the current Hwy. 380 or creating a limited access highway bypass north of the highway have been the main ideas for easing congestion. The City of McKinney is hosting an information session Thursday night for the public to learn about the potential of the bypass construction.

Here's the press release on the City's website:

"The City of McKinney invites residents and stakeholders to attend an informational community meeting on regional mobility initiatives and their impact on transportation planning in McKinney. During the meeting, the city’s Planning Department and Engineering Department will answer questions, discuss regional priorities and initiatives, and provide information on projects specifically related to U.S. Hwy. 380 and the potential for a U.S. Hwy. 380 bypass through McKinney.

The meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9 in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 222 N. Tennessee St.

For more information on city planning and transportation, email the Planning Department or call at 972-547-2000."
