• Election Wrap-up and Survey

March Madness isn’t just about Basketball. March 6th the voters came out to the polls for the March Primary Election and while we still have some work to do in voter turnout, this election cycle we made great strides. Collin County had a voter turnout of 18.9% which is a significant increase from the last midterm primary election in 2014 where there was a 12.8% turnout.

And, in some odd situation where you haven’t seen the results click here to learn who won and what the count for each Collin County office was.

This year the McKinney Chamber partnered with our neighboring Chambers and the Collin County Business Alliance to launch #collincountyvotes. The goal was to provide non-partisan information our business community could use to educate their employees on the candidates and encourage citizens to have a voice by having a vote at the ballot box. We hope you saw the link on our website to www.collincountyvotes.com and used it as a resource.

I’d love your feedback on the initiative as we look to the general election in November. Please complete the following survey (it’s short, simple and won’t take more than 6 minutes of your time) and it will provide great information for us as we work to provide relevant, informative programming.

For everyone who made it to the polls – THANK YOU! Let’s continue to engage our community and bump that voter turnout up even higher in November!
