Tell us about your business 
We opened our doors for business on September 3, 2019, and represent an amazing insurance company that is known for taking care of its customers. Having earned the Kiplinger Gold Standard in Customer Service Award two years in a row, Farmers knows the value of our customers and taking care of them. We are family owned and operated with my son, Thomas, as the Agency Owner, his wife, Stacy, is a Life Specialist along with many other things, and I take care of the marketing, networking, payroll and admin duties. We have an amazing team and a great working atmosphere and it is a joy to be here every day!
 
How you have benefited from being an Ambassador?    
I was looking for a way to get more involved in our community and being an Ambassador and welcoming new businesses to our community sounded like so much fun!   I have enjoyed getting to know other Chamber members on a different level and look forward to working side by side to support our community!

Tell us about your involvement in the Community? 
I have two children, Thomas and Tiffany. Tiffany graduated in 2010 and prior to that, I was very involved in our community. The kids would tease that we couldn’t go anywhere without me knowing somebody. However, since that time, I really scaled back and haven’t done much at all other than within my Church. Now is the perfect time in my life to get back into supporting our community and community events as McKinney continues to be one of the fastest growing cities in the US.  

What are your hobbies?
I grew up playing tennis and used to play all the time. Sadly, I married someone who didn’t know how to play but I would love to start playing again. I love refurbishing furniture and crafting. However, my biggest passion is my two grandbabies. Caleb is 9 and Luke is 5 and we love having adventures! Most recently we saw the Harlem Globetrotters and are big fans of the Frisco Fighters and Roughriders! 

Tell us a bit about yourself and your family  
I was born in Tampa, Florida, but moved to Artesia, New Mexico, when I was three years old and stayed there until I graduated from HS. I am still a huge fan of our BULLDOGS who are the winningest football team in the US with 30 State championships. That doesn’t include all of the other sports that they have won since they opened back in the 50’s. I was living in Las Cruces, New Mexico, when I met my late husband, who was working at White Sands Missile Range. We moved to McKinney in 1998 and just fell in love with the “small” town. We have to two children, Tommy & Tiffany, and I am GiGi to two grandsons, Caleb and Luke (and two granddogs, a cat, a bunny and a hamster). I have a wonderful daughter-in-law, Stacy, and a wonderful almost son-in-law, Aaron. I attend Liberty Missionary Baptist Church in McKinney and I love to sing!
