• Ambassador Spotlight - Michael Dodson

What is the name of your business and where are you located?
Ink & Toner Texas - After 10 years, I closed my retail store that was located at Hardin & Eldorado and moved my office home. (McKinney Office in 2019!)

Give us a brief description of your business.
Since closing my retail store, I focus on my B2B customers. I offer free delivery either by drop ship or personal delivery. We specialize in remanufactured toner cartridges at a very competitive price.

How have you benefited from being an Ambassador?
I have been an Ambassador for 10+ years. I definitely enjoy the ribbon cuttings. It is exciting to see new businesses opening in McKinney and have the opportunity to share in their excitement. The greatest benefit to me personally has been connecting with my fellow Ambassadors. I have made many dear friends through these connections.

Tell us about your involvement in the Community?
I currently serve on the Board for Volunteer McKinney. I am active at Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church, have served on many committees and have been an AWANA Leader at CCBC for 10 years. I am a graduate of Leadership McKinney. I am a Past Chair of the Ambassadors. I am a Mentor in the MISD Reach Program. I was named Small Business of the Year in 2016 by the McKinney Chamber of Commerce.

    What are your hobbies?
We enjoy traveling the USA. We have a goal to take Kendall to every state. We can’t just drive through the state, you must stop, spend the night and do something. We are currently at 24.

Can you share a little about yourself and your family?
My wife, Teresa, is an Administrator at LoveJoy High School. My daughter Kendall is a 7th Grader at Willow Springs Middle School in Lucas. My other daughter, Kristan, lives in Pensacola Florida with her husband Mike. They are expecting my first grandchild in June.
