Tell us about your business: As Business Development Officer at Independent Financial (formally Independent Bank), I am lucky enough to build relationships with businesses and individuals to explore the great products and services that Independent Financial has to offer.

How have you benefited from being an Ambassador- or comment about your experience - Why are you an Ambassador?: In my first few months as an ambassador, I have been impressed by the group’s member engagement.  It is a great opportunity to build friendships, in addition to professional contacts.  Being an ambassador allows me the opportunity to meet new businesses when they join the Chamber. This ensures they have a wonderful experience as a new member. Additionally, I am always impressed by feedback from long-standing members of the Chamber. The shared commitment to making McKinney a city that supports businesses and its citizens is second to none.  

Tell us about your involvement in the community: In addition to being an ambassador, I am involved with the Children’s Advocacy Center for Collin County and was involved with their 30th Anniversary Gala Committee.

What are your hobbies?  College football!  Oregon Duck College football!

Tell us a little about you and your family: I have lived in 14 different states, born in Montana, grew up in Eugene, Oregon have lived everywhere you can imagine, from California to Georgia.  I have been married to a Texan for the last 8 years, which brought me to Texas.  I have a daughter and 4 grandchildren and friends from coast to coast.
