What is the name of your business and where are you located?
Our business is called Utmost Travel, and we’re a Cruise Planners franchise. We operate out of our home office, so we can meet with clients at the location of their convenience.
Give us a brief description of your business.
Utmost Travel is a full-service travel agency that specializes in planning vacations for individuals, families and groups. Cruise Planners gives us access to all the major tour operators, hotel and resorts, and cruise lines, so we can design trips ranging from African safaris to Ireland tours and Alaska cruises. We specialize in designing highly personalized itineraries, based on our clients’ interests and preferences, and managing every aspect of our clients’ travel, at no cost to them. Roughly 70% of our business is made up of land vacations, and half of that is couples and family trips to Europe.
Why are you an Ambassador?
Serving as a McKinney Chamber of Commerce ambassador has given me the opportunity to welcome many new Chamber member businesses in a relatively short time, and is a way for me to give back to the Chamber that has been provided so much value to our business.
Tell us about your involvement in the community?
I have been actively involved in the McKinney community for 22 years, as a member of First Baptist Church, and serving in various roles with non-profit organizations.
What are your hobbies?
We enjoy travel (surprising, I know!), dining at McKinney’s amazing restaurants, golf and horseback riding.
Can you share a little about yourself and your family?
Originally from Maryland, we moved to McKinney in 1996. Our “kids” include five horses, two barn cats, two dogs, and a miniature donkey.
