.jpg) Can you believe we are just a few short weeks away from graduating another class of Leadership McKinney into our Alumni body? I have had the opportunity to spend time with this year’s class and can honestly say this class has done incredible work in our community and I am excited that we get to help support them in the future.
As alumni, we were all hand selected and given the opportunity to go through this great program, equipping us with the knowledge and connections to help us be great leaders in our home, workplace and community. Leadership McKinney is not just about a one-year experience, it is about a community of other strong and impactful people invested in making our city better each day. If you have not connected with the Leadership McKinney Alumni community following graduation then you are missing the true mission, opportunities, and support of the program. So come out and support and congratulate the Class of 2019 on Wednesday, May 15. We are planning a fantastic celebration for the graduates and look forward to seeing you there. More details here.
We all know that the end of one class marks the beginning of another. We are hosting our 3rd Annual Leadership McKinney Open House tomorrow night, Thursday, April 25th, at the McKinney Performing Arts Center from 5 – 6:30 pm. This come-and-go event is a way for those interested in being a part of next year’s class or those who are just wanting to learn more about our Leadership McKinney program can meet our current class members and all of our amazing alumni. It is also a time for alumni to reconnect and make new connections... so make a plan to stop by. A brief program will begin at 5:30 pm.
Speaking of reconnecting, if you missed our last two events, then you really missed some great times! We had a happy hour event in March where we had Alumni from 12 different classes in attendance, and we hosted a professional development luncheon, featuring Debbie Silver, in March. More than 70 people attended and enjoyed Debbie’s insightful humor on developing leaders.
