Message from the Chair
Dear WAM Members,
It’s June and starting to get HOT! Since our last newsletter we had the very successful Chef’s Challenge: “The Art of Cooking”. The event was held at MPAC and featured local chefs competing to make a wonderful dish with 5 mystery ingredients (lamb, rhubarb, quinoa, peas and pistachios) in one hour. The winner was Chef Robert Lyford from Patina Green. If you missed the event, look forward to next year as I am sure the competition will be fierce!
If you did not attend the recent WAM Women of Substance Evening Series event that honored McKinney's Top 25 Women in Business and featured Debbie Mrazek as a guest speaker it was, in a word, AWESOME! Over 100 people celebrated the accomplishments of our Women in Business in McKinney. These women are nothing short of amazing! In addition, Debbie Mrazek discussed her 12 steps of selling with such enthusiasm that we were all glued to the edge of our seats. As women, we cannot forget that we have to sell ourselves and be as strong or stronger than our male colleagues. Check out photos from the event.
The WAM Committee is currently exploring ideas for a fall event. We welcome suggestions as we seek to hold an event that is beneficial for not only WAM members but for all Chamber members as a whole. Please send us your input and ideas and let us know what YOU want out of WAM. Take 5 minutes to complete the survey below, your feedback is important to us and we want the Women's Alliance of McKinney to be the best it can be.
