Governor’s Small Business Forum Set for Collin County on September 28, 2012

Collin County Chambers of Commerce and the Small Business Development Center host informative, one-day forum for small business owners

Small business owners in Collin County will benefit from valuable information designed to help them grow and expand their businesses during the Governor’s Small Business Forum and Expo in Allen on Sept. 28 at the Courtyard by Marriott, Dallas – Allen.

The Governor’s Small Business Forum and Expos are designed to educate the Texas small business community on workforce development, employee skills training and growth opportunities.

The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) will present information on the $2 million Skills for Small Business employee training grant program, and other programs available through TWC.

Hosted by the Allen-Fairview, Anna, Farmersville, Frisco, McKinney, Plano and Wylie chambers of commerce, the event will feature Mark Dotzour, Chief Economist of the Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University. Other area event sponsors include the Small Business Development Center.

Individuals interested in attending may purchase tickets in advance from the McKinney Chamber of Commerce for $25 per person, and company sponsorships are available online at mckinneychamber.com or by calling 972-542-0163; please ask for Nicolette. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m., and if space is available, individuals will be able to purchase tickets at the door.
