According to a press release from the McKinney Economic Development Corporation issued February 8, 2012:
The City of McKinney has named 185 acres in Craig Ranch as McKinney’s Corporate Center. KDC, one of the most respected and successful office developers in the Metroplex, has also teamed up with Craig Ranch to be a preferred developer of the project.
“For future economic development, it is important to identify areas of McKinney best-suited to be competitive in attracting corporate relocations and office developments,” said McKinney Mayor Brian Loughmiller. “Craig Ranch has a highly visible, easily accessible location along the newly completed Sam Rayburn Tollway, with infrastructure in place to start attracting new corporations now.”
A location for the public-private partnership has been in the works for more than a year. McKinney is positioned to thrive as the economy rebounds and officials say Craig Ranch has the location, amenities and access to attract large and midsize build-to-suit projects and up to 2.5 million square feet available to develop.
