McKinney Magazine Announces the Top 25 Women in Business for 2013
According to the United States Department of Labor, of the 123 million women age 16 years and over in the U.S., 58.6 percent were labor force participants. Women comprised 47 percent of the total U.S. labor force and are projected to account for 51 percent of the increase in total labor force growth between 2008 and 2018.
The McKinney Chamber of Commerce recognizes the importance of women in the workforce by supporting programs like the Women’s Alliance of McKinney and the annual Top 25 Women in Business.
McKinney Magazine asked our readers to identify women who they consider outstanding in the community. All nominees were reviewed by an impartial, independent selection committee of respected business professionals.
The committee had the difficult task of compiling the list of the Top 25 Women in Business for 2013.
We would like to thank the selection committee: Lori Bhargava, Christine Hogan and Sarah Marshall. These women have, in previous years, been honored for their commitment to McKinney as well. They recognize the importance of celebrating those who go above. Click on their names to read their bios.
