According to the United States Department of labor, of the 123 million women age 16 years and over in the U.S., 58.6 percent were labor force participants. Women comprised 47 percent of the total U.S. labor force and are projected to account for 51 percent of the increase in total labor force growth between 2008 and 2018.
The McKinney Chamber of Commerce recognizes the importance of women in the workforce by supporting programs like the Women’s Alliance of McKinney the annual Top 25 Women in Business.
McKinney Magazine asked our readers to identify women who they consider outstanding in the community. All nominees were reviewed by an impartial, independent selection committee of respected business professionals. Be sure to look for the June/Technology issue where winners will be announced.
The committee had the difficult task of compiling the list of the Top 25 Women in Business for 2013.
