McKinney Magazine
McKinney Magazine has been connecting our growing community for more than 24 years. The unique local content is for our community, about our community and by our community. It has been recognized as an effective economic development tool by community partners, businesses and residents.
In an effort to provide a fresh and relevant product, the publication has undergone several updates. Both editorial and design considerations have been implemented to keep the magazine progressive and effective.
In response to McKinney’s changing demographics, distribution is targeted to meet the needs of advertisers. Distribution exceeds 47,000 copies each issue, which translates to more than a half million copies per year. To further expand their marketing reach, McKinney Magazine is launched a new online presence. The website will offer enhanced editorial content as well as options that complement marketing strategies of any business, large or small.

Ribbon Cuttings & Grand Openings
Every new member receives a ribbon cutting celebration to announce their affiliation with the McKinney Chamber of Commerce. The event includes the presentation of a member plaque for display and a business card wallet that includes contact information for the Chamber Ambassadors. The ribbon cutting photo and business announcement appears in the Chamber’s monthly E-Newsletter and is sent to other media outlets.
Ground breakings and grand opening recognition is also available. Current and new members can contact the Chamber to help celebrate a new location, a ground breaking or a grand opening.

New Resident Outreach
New Resident Welcome Bags: The Chamber distributes 100 welcome bags monthly to new McKinney residents. Delivered by McKinney’s waste management contractor, IESI, when new service is initiated, Chamber members may include collateral for only $5 per month. Some levels of membership include this benefit.
Newcomer Mailing List
A monthly listing of new residents based on deed transactions is available to Chamber members via email for $20 / month, $50 for not-yet-members.
