Today's Advancements Shaping Tomorrow's Communities
How technology is changing the way we live, work and play .
Technologies are ever evolving. They will affect the economy and our politics, improve medicine, or influence our culture. They will impact the way we work and live now and for years to come. Some are unfolding now; others will take a decade or more to develop. But you should know what's coming right now.
Join us for the July Quarterly Luncheon to hear from a panel of speakers on topics such as "flying taxis", Smart Cities and innovative technologies. Also, check out our interactive displays of a 3D printer from The Werx, virtual realtiy demos from Playful Corp. and simulation manikins from the Collin College Healthcare Simulation Center.
Panel of Speakers:
Moderator: Chris Wilkes - The Werx
Russell Laughlin - EVP of Hillwood Properties (Frisco Station – the development implementing Uber Elevates in Frisco)
Paul Bettner - Founder & CEO of Playful Corp.
David Calkins - Head of Marketing and Communications at Playful Corp.
Robert Marshall - Innovation Director at R.O.W. Strategies
As part of this luncheon, our McKinney Young Professionals (MYP) will continue their fundraising efforts for CASA of Collin County. They will be collecting funds and gift cards to reach their goal of $10,000.
WHY should you donate to CASA?
- Every eight minutes in Texas a child becomes a victim of abuse or neglect.
- In Collin County alone, 4383 cases of child abuse were reported to CPS.
- Of those cases, 2713 were confirmed as child abuse victims.
- 262 CASA Volunteer Advocates served 510 children in 2016, finding 214 children safe, permanent, loving homes.
- And that has saved taxpayers $4,000,000 through 50,000 hours of donated service.
Help MYP help the kids of CASA.
