For the first time in the 24-year history of the leadership programs, an Alumni of the Year was recognized at the Community Awards Celebration.
The inaugural recipient was John Rattan, founder and owner of The Body Shop Collision Repair. A graduate of both the Graduate and Strategic Leadership programs, John works through grass roots initiatives to assure McKinney’s place as a global competitor and has served in key leadership positions with many of the area’s most impactful community organizations. He was selected by a committee of peers –leadership program graduates – and has made a positive, lasting impact on our community and region. John Rattan chooses to make a difference and help create one of the “best places to live” in the country. As he often says: “McKinney is the Center of the Universe.”
