I’m located in the Kastel Building in Adriatica at the intersection of Stonebridge Drive and Virginia Parkway.
Give us a brief description of your business.
I am a 25-year veteran of the insurance industry and have been associated with Farmers® in various corporate roles of increasing responsibility, including Claims Manager, Zone Agency Manager and Director – Field Operations. In 2013, I decided to leverage my corporate and industry experience and become an agency owner. My agency specializes in providing auto, home, renter’s, boat, motorcycle, business and life insurance. My agency team takes pride in offering personable service, with the goal of providing professional counsel for clients seeking an agent-based relationship.
How have you benefited from being an Ambassador?
I decided to become an Ambassador to serve the community and welcome new businesses and business owners to McKinney and the surrounding area. I know firsthand how intimidating it is to start a new business. As an Ambassador, I take pride in representing the Chamber, as well as the Ambassador team, in offering resources to the business community.
Tell us about your involvement in the Community?
My faith is very important in my life. I am a partner at One Community Church and serve in the Parking Lot Ministry, as well as participate in the Men’s Ministry there. Additionally, I am an Instructor at Collin College in the Continuing Education Department. I teach All-Lines Property & Casualty Pre-Licensing for Adjusters and Technical Writing for Insurance Professionals. These courses are designed for people in the community that are preparing for a career in insurance.
What are your hobbies?
My hobbies are golf, cooking, reading, exercising and hanging out at the beach with my family.
Can you share a little about yourself and your family?
I was a student-athlete at Louisiana Tech University, where I competed in Football. A little-known fact about my college football career is that I tackled both Emmett Smith and Deion Sanders. I met my wonderful wife, Toni, in college and we have been married for 25 years. I have two daughters – Jasmine, who is a RN; and Haley, who is a sophomore at Angelo State University. My family loves to travel to “beachy” locales and spending quality time with each other.
